In another case of YOUR tax dollars at work, the LA Times reports here that oil production in Iraq is still lower than in the pre-war days, and that future oil production has been seriously harmed thanks to bungling by Halliburton and KBR.
Is this the case of the gang that couldn’t drill straight????
My favorite is the $70,000,000 given to KBR for building pipelines that were only half completed forcing the Iraqis to pump the oil back into the freaking ground.

I have come to the conclusion our Republican brothers (that is not the right word) are right. We must start saying what we are for, not what we are against. Let’s start right here and be for taking our government back from these louts who decry those ‘Bumbling Beaucrats’. We know that government, because of civil service, is made up of hard working professionals, not some idiot who is married to the chief of staff of the Director of Homeland Security or the male vet appointed to the empty Women’s Health post at FDA.
Let’s be for spending our tax dollars on things like education, and job training and adequate defense and a State Department that is for humanity and does not support idiots in high places.
Let’s be for being more fiscally sound. Let’s be for a sound tax system that not only pays for what we do today, it also does not tax future generations to keep everyone happy today.
Let’s be for candidates who are not afraid to speak the truth. Let’s find the words that turns the Republican name game (it is not a death tax) on its ear and makes them look like the fools and not us.
Let’s be for bringing sunlight to all the Tom DeLay’s of the world, including our own party’s dirty laundry. Let’s be for helping our kids inherit a world where they will be happy to be Americans.
Let’s show utter outrage at folks like G. Gordon Liddy, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly and TV preachers like Pat Robinson and Jerry Falwell all their ilk who make their living by fostering indignant hate mongering. We could do that by making sure every time these idiots alight from an automobile or speak at an engagement that there are loud voices with banners and posters protesting.
Let’s start a movement to take our country back now.
