  • Ack. Yeah, that kind of is… ugh.

I’m sure she’ll have a safe trip though. And certainly a good one and good time with Erin. Don’t worry too much, amigo.

That headline reminds me of when I was in NYC and got stuck in LaGuardia forever while trying to get home. My flight was supposed to have left for Memphis around six in the morning, but it got delayed. And delayed again. And again and again and again. We were told pretty much on the front end it was due to a “malfunctioning part” in the motor, which probably sent half the waiting passengers to other flights upon hearing that. Of the rest, some just got sick of the wait and made other arrangements. By the time the plane actually left NYC there were only maybe six people including myself on the plane, and we all pretty much had whole sections of the plane all to ourselves, which was cool.

I wondered early in the morning whether I was making a mistake not trying to get on another plane, but as the flight kept getting delayed (it wound up leaving about 8-9 hours late) I decided I was probably on the safest, most checked airplane in the country at that moment. (Or at least I hoped so!)

Again, don’t fret, I’m sure Lynn will get there safe & sound…
