South Carolina just announced that their Presidential primary is going to be moved up to January 19th, ‘leapfrogging ahead of the Florida primary and setting the stage for more states to move up their contests’. I’m boycotting the debates because this is 2007 and the election is FREAKING NEXT YEAR, but if this trend continues I may have no choice to watch because some of the stupid (meaning absolutely no disrespect) candidates will be eliminated BEFORE FREAKING 2008.
If Tennessee could somehow become an actual meaningful primary instead of the afterthought of the backwash and therefore often ignored or taken for granted (nice job AL!) by moving the primary up a bit, I guess I wouldn’t object. But truth be told, I’m enjoying the Republican bloggers all in denial about how things are going so so well for the President, and how the public hates the Democratic-lead congress worse than they hate the Prez. Actually, the public is fed up with congress because they haven’t done much about the war, which is why many of them were elected in the first place.
Just keep on spinning, GOPers, just keep on spinning.

i think maybe we should just go ahead and elect the next president this November and we can bypass all the primaries, straw polls and conventions.
