It was thirty years ago today…

ten years after Sargeant Pepper taught the band to play, we got married.  I spoke of this earlier, but since today is THE day, I want to say Happy Anniversary to my wonderful wife Lynn, and a big ‘you better be appreciative’ to my kids out there.  Your genetic oleo would have existed no where else!!

We’ve lived in two different apartments in Brooklyn, two apartments and two houses in Nashville.  We have three kids and have had six dogs and, I think 12 cars.

A man I admired once said when he heard about folks who have been happily married for 40/50 years and that they never had an argument, he always wondered which one of the spouses was in a coma all those years.  We’ve certainly not been victims of a coma, but those kids, and secondarily those cars, dogs and houses and a lot of disagreements, wonderful dates, really BIG disagreements and a lot of reconciliation have added up to thirty interesting incredible years.  Happy Anniversary, Lynn. I love you.
